Join us in knitting any Hanne Falkenberg design. For inspiration, check out her site http://www.knit.dk/billeder/ref.htm. Choosing a HF kit is a major investment - both financially and in time, so there is no start date or end date. So please, join in!

Promenade Start
Not much, but its a beginning. Thanks to those of you who gave me a heads up about the back panel error. I've made a note in my pattern so I should be all set to go!
The error is that the pattern doesn't state clearly that when you complete the first 40 riddges of the back that you then reverse the order and go from top down, not start over at the bottom. Not a big one, but its how everything matches up with the side panels from what I understand. Someone was kind enough to email me the information last week.
I'm sorry, but if you check the sample on Hanna's website, it clearly shows two repeats not reverse. Plus the sides (stripes) don't meet up to begin with and the pattern is different than your two repeats for the square in the back. Just my 2cents.
AND...at also says in pattern clearly that "continue to repeat last two rows, change colour as follows...which would end up totally different if you reverse pattern....so you might want to think about that.
On my pattern at the bottom of the charts there are arrows pointing up and then at the top there arrows pointing down, which to me says reverse or "loop" the patterning direction. FWIW, as long as I do the same on the back and the side panels it would match throughout. While I cannot find the email that was sent to me earlier this week, I find it hard to believe that someone would purposely mislead me.
Mari the errows point to the direction for the back and than the pattern for the side pattern. The side pattern doesn't match with the back. Nowhere does it say to reverse the order in the pattern and I've both version of it. the colorway that you're doing is a new one and she changed some of the pattern, so why would she not change the fact that she wants the order in reverse and not just repeated? I guess if you're feeling compfortable doing it?! I did the repeat and it looks just like on the photo.
It sounds like a question for Hanne. There's a link on her site and she can answer definitively. I had a question for her a few months ago and she answered VERY promptly and courteously. Nice lady.
Sounds great. Please let us know Mari, what Hanna says. I would love to know, since I've made two of the promenade. But regardless, I love mine and they look great, even if I did them prossibly wrong. Sabine
I am presently knitting the Promenade and about to reach the end of the first pattern on the back....Can someone tell me the final outcome of the "reverse vs. repeat" pattern dilema? Thanks
Hello- Does any one know of any errors in the Ballerina instructions? I am going to start one soon. I love her designs and have always planned to knit one. However recently a young, friend of mine bought a kit feeling confident that she could do it for her third knitting project. She said that her confidence started to fail while she was reading the instructions. I am looking forward to knitting it for her and would appreciate any advise I can get. I have never written any thing on a blog before and look forward to getting some replies.

Back panel error? Could you let me know about it, please? No one said anything to me. I'm happy to somehow prove that I own the pattern.
I own the pattern too, but have been kind of chicken to start all those stitches....What error? Please share.
