Slacker...

That's me! I'm making little cotton tanks & cardis - it's too warm to start my Mermaid (ok, maybe there's a little fear there too!) - it'll have to wait til fall. But I love seeing everyone else's projects - they're all turning out so perfectly, it gives me courage!

hey Lyn, I'm in the same boat, but for me it's definitely the fear. Or am I just not wanting to take on the challenge yet?? I keep staring at the pretty bag w/the yarn in it, I did swatch. But I will decide this fall. I do love it though.

I am nervous too! I keep squeezing the yarn... I am waiting to receive the chart from Amy. I know it will be a great help!

Be brave! Jump right in!
Now that I'm almost finished with my second HF Ballerina, I knid of miss those tiny needles and endless rows and confusing/challenging instructions and wondering how it will look after I've put all this time and effort....

Now I'm kind of wondering which one to knit next?
Mermaid? or Lastrada with the 501 stitches to cast on? Oh my decisions decisions...

Happy Knitting,
ana

After all the discussion on Mermaid, I'd say that Lastrada is an easier knit. No confusing decreases, very straight forward. Good old garter stitch with a very defined decrease "pivot". I'm glad I started with this one first.
