Here's my Promenade. I like to tell myself I'm on the home straight (well, the left front, anyhow). The bunched up bit at the top of the photo is said left front still on the needles, about 20 rows from completion. Completing it is, however, not going to be a quick job. Each row still takes about 20 minutes (the stitch count is still somewhere over 400 I think) but it gets less with every alternate row decrease. Hurray! Anyway, it's an easy, if somewhat frustrating knit. The frustrating bit is solely down to the sheer numbers of stitches per row. But no need for a spreadsheet (I'm sure Amy will be delighted!)

... so that's only 20 days, if you'd knit one row a day. or 10 days if you'd knit two rows a day. or ... well, you get the point :)
Hi Ros, my mate has just purchased the promenade. How did it go in the end? Was it a doddle?
Hi Sallyp. I'm not quite there yet. Went to Toronto for a week so didn't take it with me (didn't want my needles confiscated at Security...!) and then didn't do much last week but I am about 10 rows from home.
In answer to your question, it's a doddle in terms of the knitting. It's just a bit unwieldy due to the sheer number of stitches on the needles. I have to confess that, whilst I've enjoyed knitting it, I'm already lining up the projects I want to do next...
