MERMAID ISSUES

Good day ladies

I have just become an HF follower. I bought the Mermaid design on Friday last week and have just knitted the first flaired piece. I am however, concerned because the pattern does not ask for decreasing anymore over the shoulder! Should I be decreasing somewhere still? I am knitting the large design. I have also contacted Amy for the spreadsheet as I have been working off my own charts - making these before I attack each section - but this slant issue is troubling me.

If you do exactly what she says you can't go wrong! She know what she's doing. Just a note if you read the blogs about this pattern, I knit the sleeves as the pattern says (small) and had to bock them twice to get them long enough.

I'm impressed you are making such progress. I, too, have a Mermaid but I'm starting it today after forcing myself to finish an aran vest I was working on. I've asked Amy for a spreadsheet as well. I figure the medium will be adaptable to the large. Keep up the postings.

I had to put my mermaid to the side as well. I am busy with a vogue pattern for a friend and also a Gedifra for myself. The Gedifra is now finished and I am on the sleeves of the vogue. Once that is finished I will continue with my Mermaid. I still have not heard from Amy. I did however, spreadsheet my own pattern for the mermaid but have not had a chance yet to see if it is totally correct. It is in the large so hears is crossing fingers. What colour did you buy Gayle? Mine is in black, grey and cerisse pink.

My mermaid is #5, black, cypress and kingfisher, which are a heathery green and a lovely blue. Don't you just love those names? I'm now a little sorry that I choose such a conservative colour combo. Next Hanne? Who knows? Meanwhile, I'm at the shoulder and am confused about the edge stitches. See my post today. Can you help, Sally? Does everyone who makes one of these feel like an amateur?
